On Location:
We can meet at a park or your favorite ice cream place. You pick the location (within 30 miles of St. Charles) and we can make it work. Don't know where to go? Ask me! I can give you suggestions and a list of places where I've done previous sessions.
At Your Home:
If you would like, I can come to your home for our session. I'll come over and take a look around your house for the best possible spot to take advantage of the natural light. This may include some unconventional spots in your home such as the bathroom or the office. We may even move a piece of furniture or two in order to get the best photos of your child.
What's it like?
It's fun! I like to treat my sessions like a playdate. Nobody will have to say "cheese" or sit still or even look at the camera. I will take time to get to know your child by playing and being silly. I may even ask you to leave the room (sometimes children are more relaxed when they don't have an audience on hand!) As a result, your photos will reflect your child's personality and will be a lasting impression of who they are at this moment.
Family Sessions:
My family sessions are alot like my children's sessions. Tell your husband to relax and just be himself. Let the kids play and tease each other. No posing and smiling for the camera. I want to capture the way your family interacts and loves each other on a daily basis. Choosing a fun activity for everyone to participate in is often the way to take the photographer "out of the picture" so that your family can forget I am even there and take the pressure off. Going out for ice cream, playing tag, or blowing bubbles are great ideas for capturing the uniqueness of your family. No idea is too crazy, as long as it's meaningful to your family!
